Creative, Singing

Representation is important. As a young girl, Mampi represented a Zambian woman who was unapologetically herself. She freely expressed herself through her talents. This was one of the first Zambian songs I learned to sing. It’s been a favorite of mine and still is to date. When I first sang this song in front of people as a young girl, I found courage to dare enough to use my voice to express who I am too. This video was created for Africa Day and premiered at a virtual event for Freely in Hope.
